Carolyn Landis is an experienced executive and transactional attorney specializing in mid-sized businesses and individuals across California, Illinois, and New York. Her background as a corporate development leader complements her legal expertise, enabling her to effectively support clients in managing and growing their businesses from formation to sale.

Carolyn advises on all business stages, including fundraising, board communications, organizational management, and executive compensation. She represents buyers and sellers in asset and stock transactions and has successfully closed eight- and nine-figure deals through her mergers and acquisitions practice.

Her approach balances sophisticated business insights with legal efficiency and risk mitigation. Drawing from her early involvement in family businesses, Carolyn takes a solution-oriented approach to ensure client success.

Before her legal career, she trained and managed a law school admissions exam program and earned her law degree from Wake Forest University. She has held leadership roles at Winston & Strawn LLP and managed a multi-million dollar dermatology practice before joining Petersen Landis as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and M&A.
