A few details.

Overview: A long-time manufacturing client approached the firm with a potentially large business opportunity to develop certain proprietary parts for a simple household product.

Challenge: In order to develop these proprietary parts, they would need to work with an outside party with regard to development of the required intellectual property.

How we facilitated the close.

The firm negotiated with the outside’s party counsel in order to develop a joint venture structure, and coordinated with patent counsel on all aspects of the intellectual property and the venture being formed. The client’s joint venture became a great success and has led to further opportunities in new and expanding markets.
